As the scum of the earth (not the industrial metal band) render our reality insufferable through deceit and destruction, it is artists’ duty to create, even if creation is of the ‘handicapped’ kind, reduced to prompts that ghosts of the machine transform into images – camp, pulpy, absurd, surreal, perverse, suggestive, subversive, fantastic and/or humorous. A common denominator for the following forty pieces is homoeroticism, often amped up as high as Gemini guidelines allow, and in certain cases, pushing the boundaries of both the (shy) dreamer’s and his AI assistant’s comfort zone. Brought forth (or rather, generated) in the act of defiance against the regressing mindset of the socio-political environment, these queer bites draw inspiration from various sources, largely cinema, with some distinct references to film noir, 60’s fantasies, Jarman, Pasolini Jodorowsky, Rappaport, etc. Conceived as frames from experimental films, they star the likenesses of physique model Forrester Millard, and anonymous boxer (last name Engelmann?), based on the photos found in the public domain.
